In September 2012 we have organized the second IVDW Workshop (Interaction and Visualization in the Data Web) @ INFORMATIK 2012 in Braunschweig.

Listen to the radio show Das Petabyte-Zeitalter with some contributions from me on "Combining Social and Semantic Web to Support the Analysis of Emergency Situations".

My affiliation has changed. I am now working at Trumpf in the Software Development Department.

In October 2011 we have organized the IVDW 2011 Workshop (Interaction and Visualization in the Data Web) @ INFORMATIK 2011 in Berlin.

We have launched our new website that provides an overview of our attempts to a more visual Data Web.

Read my article Mein digitales Ich (my digital me) at WELT ONLINE.

I reviewed papers for various conferences; the most important are:

  • ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems
  • Conference of the European Association for Com-puter Graphics
  • Pacific Conference on Computer Graphics and Applications
  • Journal „Behaviour & Information Technology me for older events.

Philipp Heim received the Diploma degree in computer science (computational visualistics) from the University of Koblenz-Landau in 2007. He wrote his diploma thesis in the department of Intelligent User Interfaces at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) about the interactive visualization of semantic data on mobile devices. After this, he was employed as a Research Associate in the Interactive Systems Group at the University Duisburg-Essen for two years. Within the BMBF-Project Softwiki he developed interactive tools to support the requirement engineering process in large and distributed groups of stakeholders via Semantic Web technologies. In 2011 he received his PhD at the Institute for Visualization and Interactive Systems (VIS) at the University of Stuttgart within the research area of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in the Semantic Web. Currently, he is working at TRUMPF in the Software Development Department as a UX Expert.
